margaux lonnberg

Margaux Lonnberg aka the superskinny girl in self-designed, barely-there t-shirts. Which seem just perfect. A girl can never have too many of those I-just-rolled-out-of-bed tops. I really like the hair&make-up here, they go so well with the feel of the clothes. My mom would probably recommend a shower here (maybe MacDonald's, too), but since messy and slept in hit the runways with Proenza Schouler etc a couple of seasons ago, showers seem to be so not cool!

You can buy the t-shirts on Lonnberg's website. You will also find more models and photos there, as well as the story behind the project. Or you could always take an old, worn out tee, grab a pair of scissors and let the the magic begin, although the DYI cutting is never as easy as it sounds.

Have a nice Wednesday, it's time to hit the books!

moi je joue

Clemence Poesy for Glamour UK, Febuary.
Photos from here.

This is such a great shot! It just makes you smile. I love the dresses, the colors especially, and the pink fur is magic.
It makes me want to jump onto my bike and/or hang balloons in my room. Or just bake cupcakes, which is the only thing I can acutally do. It is SO cold, but it is winter after all. Not that it makes me happy.

Plus, Clemence is so cute. But Maryna Linchuk in Miss Dior Cherie ad looks pretty, too:

Soooo much cuteness. This post has to end now!

blue

I haven't posted in a long while, but summer has been pretty busy with the move and trying out a billion of new recipes, which I wanted to show here but somehow taking photos seemed like too much of an effort!

I've been eagerly waiting for the Fashion Week, since the spring-summer collections usually inspire my outfits in the colder months (I have been looking at the fall-winter shows for the last six months, after all.). And as much as I don't really tend to fall for colors, I love the blue on the runways. To me, it looks especially great paired with orange (at Rag&Bone) and with yellow (Jason Wu and Rag&Bone), but is stunning on its own as well (Rachel Comey). Can't wait to buy myself something in turquoise, and maybe a yellow skirt!

Rag&Bone
The loveliest blue and such a cute pattern!

(the hot pants+shirt thing is amazing)

Rachel Comey
One color, different shades - brilliant! I'm going to try it with red for now.

Georges Hobeika Couture ss 11

I've just seen Georges Hobeika Couture show for this season and I fell in love with some of the dresses. I loved the fabrics and the way they moved when models walked in them, I loved the pale, feminine colors and messy ponytails, the sparkles and using fabric to create flowers and textures. I adored the long, flowy skirts way more than those fitted ones.

Amongst all those amazing pieces, I noticed one dress that I would love to have.
This dress looked so lovely when in motion, swirling around hips. It also has a stunning back, but I can't find a photo of it. Also, the difference between patent belt and chiffon-y fabric is very interesting. It's a very classic shape, put into modern trends by some simple elements - the pattern on the skirt, the belt, the low neckline, and the back.

I love this applique. The mix of textures - plastic beads and fabric shapes - is stunning.

I wish there were some better photos, but apparently Georges Hobeika doesn't have a site on style.com.
