fernando pando

I love to wear my striped top, and I could really buy a new one before the old one falls into pieces.
I also really like wearing those shorts, despite of them being at least two sizes two big on me. I guess it's just because I can't see how bad my butt looks in them. But I just adore the idea of very much distressed demin shorts and a dark, simple blazer. Lately I've also fallen for jackets that are just too big and loose in the waist, and the lapels are not really a must.

Today was a great day. I was never really allured by sun, but this year is so much different. I just need to buy a new sunscreen before I am all tan! I always like it better when I am rather pale. And as much as I am excited about summer, the end of school year is just so hectic!

 + me being silly:
H&M sunglasses, H&M blazer, Zara t-shirt, vintage belt, vintage shorts.

I actually wanted for this blog to be a personal style one!

Shine on

I love shiny stuff. Remember my post on metallic nail polishes? A friend of mine says that I have a thing for armor-esque clothing, but not all that glitters looks like medieval protective apparel! It felt as though I was alone in my love for all that shines. But yesterday I read a text about this season's sparke at style.com and I recalled that my lurex dress was worn by all of my friends last year (such a relief! I am not the only one) . And that I always loved the lurex socks that Cassie worn in Skins (sorry, but I can't find a photo). And Cassie's vintage, golden dresses. And maybe it has something to do with my sign being Leo that sparkle always catches my eye.

I always loved lists, so here is one: of my 5 most wanted glittery pieces right now:

Just wow. I don't think I could wear it, and it seems to be heavy. But still, wow.

I regret not buying it so much!

This little skirt combines my three favorite features of clothes: metallic elements, texture and soft pink.

Is there anything that would look better with collar and cuffs peeping from an oversized black sweater?

I wonder if I can get that effect, spraying dark gold paint over old skinnies.

Anyways, I am really tired. Going to bed. Maybe I will dream of a way to earn enough to buy those wonderful pieces.

I love mango (the fruit)

Paris was wonderful, but I haven't really had time to look through the photos to make a post about my stay there. I plan to do that over the weekend. Unfortunately, I don't have a single photo of well-dressed people, because I got scared about asking whether they don't mind being photographed.

Today, I went to Coffee Heaven and got myself a Mangoccino - mango flavored cappuccino. I love mango! Where I live, coffee in cafes like Coffee Heaven costs  me my entire daily budget, but it is just a ritual - every time I am around that particular coffee shop, I just have to leave with a cup of coffee! Luckily, this only takes place once a month, or even less often! There are some details about an expensive coffee to take that I love, and that a home brewed coffee or the one from McDonalds (which is really good, as far as I am concerned) will never have. Holding the cup feels wonderful, but there's more!

Decorating the coffee with patterns - who is skilled enough to do it at home?  And who cares about the way their coffee looks?

Personalized cups - nothing sensational, but I love to discover a message hidden under the cardboard sleeve. This one says "have a nice day".

Three years ago, I went to USA for the summer, and I got used to saying that to everyone. I came back home and told that little sweet phrase to everyone, and people always looked at me surprised. I am over the moon that now it's normal for people to say that and put on coffee cups! It's such a lovely habit.

Funny thing about me and being so thrilled about a cup of coffee - I don't like that drink all that much!
Oh, and sorry for the quality of photos. I don't carry my camera around, so I just spontaneously took these with my ipod.

shoe problems

My computer was being repaired after a virus attack for almost a month! that's why I hadn't posted a thing since the beginning of March.

Tomorrow morning I am going to Paris and I have got such a problem packing. I hate packing. How am I supposed to decide what I will want to wear three days from now? And I am not able to predict what kind of book I am going to want to read either.

Still, my real problem is shoes. I never buy shoes for fun - looking for the right pair of shoes is nothing but exhausting and depressing experience through which I have to go every time seasons are changing. I have quite big feet , size 41. Most of the shoes that I like are already gone or never arrived from the factory. The rest doesn't look cute at all on a big, clumsy foot.  And I am so picky - I want my shoes to look good and I am hardly ever bothered about the comfort of a pair. So now that I am going walk around a city for about 8 hours a day (at school, I sit, mostly...), I had to find my old, devastated Converses (not those classic ones, but huge and weird, in black, white and turquoise) from my tomboy days.

Blah!

Have a good week. I will!
